For students who love animals, Leo Lionni’s books are a hit. Certainly, his illustration style is easy to identify.

Then, in 1959, Leo Lionni’s first book was published, Little Blue and Little Yellow. He had work showcased in various galleries in New York and Japan. Shortly after he married, he and his wife relocated to the United States (1939), and his career as an artist took off. This text includes some excellent vocabulary words for young readers.
